Museum overview
- Housed in a former 12th century merchant's house, the Tolhouse is one of the oldest prisons in the country
- Real stories of thieves, smugglers, witches, pirates and murderers; transportations and executions
- Great collections and many hands-on displays
- The Tolhouse is just two minutes from the South Quay, which is well worth a visit. There is an excellent safe walkway along the riverside, from which historic buildings such as Yarmouth's grand Town Hall may be observed. King Street and St George's Hall are also nearby.

- There is limited road parking, public pay & display car parks are available nearby.

- Toilets are via the adjoining NCC building (currently the library)
